Leadership Experience

  • Teacher-in-Charge – Assumes all Vice Principal duties using a Restorative Justice approach.
  • School Success Team – Planned and implemented PD activities for staff throughout the school year.
  • Student Success Team– Worked with "at risk" students to mitigate any problems to help in their success.
  • Family of Schools Professional Development Co-Chair – Co-Chaired a team of Teachers from feeder schools to provide a full PD day for over 250 educators that aligned with board/school improvement plans.
  • Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) – Writing of application for an SHSM and made successful University and College connections to support a planned SHSM. Encouraged pupils to enter program to be successful.
  • Safe School Committee Chair – Lead, organized events with a team of colleagues; created an online "Bullying Box" through school website that helped students report any bullying, Hand Pledge Wall to raise money and awareness for students in need.
  • School Technology Committee – Communicates to administration on the needs/wants of technology from students/staff, provide some procurement of technology, liaison with board technology co-coordinator.
  • Feeder School Liaison – Presents to students/staff of feeder schools on Pathways to Success, course selection and the high school transitions.
  • School Website Administrator – Provided staff development on use of the school website along with implementing efficient workflows and providing the means for students, staff, school council, and administration to utilize the web presence. Maintains & updates school website on an on-going basis.
  • Board-Wide Resource Creator - Curriculum Development document on Cyber bullying & Digital Citizenship.
  • Commencement Committee – Member of a team in charge of running school commencement ceremony.
  • Computer Competition Chair – Administrated and planned students writing computer competitions.
  • Computer Lab Utilization Report and Analysis – Provided our administration with usage reports for computer labs within the school and the need for expansion and capital funding.
  • Cross-Curricular PLC Team Leader – Descriptive Feedback using Technology in the 21st Century Classroom
  • Created Student Technology Ambassador Program - Created infrastructure to have a continuous student-led 21st Century Classroom support in the school to aid teachers and students.
  • OSSLT Administrator - Ensured test procedures were followed for all test writers, organized supervision of staff, moderated the testing day, organized test packages to send to EQAO for evaluation.

  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), WHMIS Certification
  • Interviewed Principals at various Secondary Schools on use of technology and student success.

  • Timetabling of School – Worked on timetabling school with colleagues given precise parameters.
